    Hi, my name is Julie Marie and welcome to my site.

    Who am I? I'm a makeup artist turned UX designer, turned recipe developer and food photographer. My true love though, has always been recipe development. I love coming up with new idea and being creative in the kitchen!

    I started this website because I have a big love for anything sweet, especially anything with chocolate and citrus! I love to experiment and come up with new and different recipes, and I see flavors as building blocks, and it’s about finding the right elements and textures.

    I’ve always loved food and cakes but my love for baking started when I first visited USA and tried cupcakes! I wanted to recreate those amazing and soft cupcakes, I had tried in the USA, at home. Cupcakes and layer cakes are still my first love, but I have since then just continued to explore new cakes.

    One of my favorite things, when traveling, is going to the local supermarkets and kitchen stores to explore local sweets and ingredients. I love seeing which products they have and if there is some fun new flavors that I should try.

    With a background is makeup artistry and UX design it has shaped the way I design and create my cakes. I enjoy the research and development that comes with developing a recipe and the aesthetic that comes with decorating a cake and styling my photoshoots!

    I hope to inspire you to bake some of my cakes, and the simple joy there is of creating something homemade.
